Maninplace

Maninplace provides emergency, temporary, supported and long-term accommodation with intensive housing management services.  They offer accommodation for people who present as rough sleeping or homeless in the borough of Telford & Wrekin.

Established in 2006 as a not for profit community enterprise, Maninplace set out to provide accommodation for those who were unable to access social housing and private sector rental properties due to limited income and lifestyle.

Thanks to a dedicated team of housing management workers and support workers, they offer a service that supports and encourages people to achieve a healthy, independent lifestyle and sees them being an integrated member of their local community.

KiP @ Maninplace

KiP offer an appointment based service offering assistance to people presenting as homeless or rough sleeping in the Telford & Wrekin area. 

They provide assistance with access to emergency night-by-night accommodation, assistance with finding private landlords and letting agents, support with applications for social welfare benefit payments, guidance with maintaining tenancies and general housing advice.

YMCA Wellington

YMCA Wellington provide supported housing to young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or have a housing need.  Support can last for up to 2 years.

Their goal is to provide the support and opportunities they need to start afresh and become valuable, responsible members of the community. The support team works hard to encourage and motivate residents to develop their personal skills and to improve their financial situation through education and training.

Through the Thrive Telford partnership they offer short term (up to two years) supported accommodation for people aged 16-25, in self-contained bedsits and flats in Wellington.

Stay Telford

Stay is a charity whose primary role is to provide support and housing for young homeless people in Telford, across a range of services and housing schemes.

Working in partnership with statutory agencies and partners from the voluntary sector. The young people they support have found themselves in a position where they are vulnerable, homeless or with nowhere else to turn. They treat everybody who they come across as an individual, working with them to overcome any issues that may affect their ability to live independently, assisting them to develop and thrive as individuals.

As well as a provider of services, they also see their role as one in which they challenge perceptions of homelessness and young people in general.
